These fibre-optic style cameras allow us to take photos of your teeth and gums to show you any cracks, holes, inflammation or areas of infection, or show you before and after photos of treatment performed.
These utilise digital camera technology to provide an instant x-ray of your teeth, allowing us to get to the root of the problem faster. Digital x-ray sensors are also more sensitive, exposing you to far smaller amounts of radiation. These include our digital panoramic xray machine which gives a picture of the whole mouth without the need for putting sensors or films in your mouth.
We have invested in three digital iTero scanners. These are used to capture pictures inside the mouth, which create a 3D model of the teeth and gums. Using iTero scanner technology, your dentist can create a digital 3D map of your teeth in minutes, which you'll be able to view in real-time, no more "gooey" dental impressions needed.
These allow us to record your current smile and give you more input in planning your final smile, while also demonstrating past treatment successfully performed.
Pain free injections, at Amsel and Wilkins we have the facility of using the Wand for pain free injections, this pen like handpiece is more comfortable for you the patient.
When the dentist uses The Wand, they can choose to numb just one tooth, meaning there will be no numbness of the tongue, cheek or lip. This means that you can walk out after your appointment and get straight back into your routine, able to drink and smile
